You want to turn off reboot on error. The BSOD you get will tell you by way of words and numbers what is causing the computer to crash.
    Right Click on My Computer
    Click Properties
    Select the Advanced tab
Click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery
Remove the check from the Automatically Restart

Thank you Pldor...I did that and it still does it.My computer is even worse now...not because of that...because of whatever is wrong with it and I hope and Pray you can help me.I went to the AVAST website and downloaded a cleaning tool and here are the results from it...

"avast! Virus Cleaner Tool - version 1.0.211 Unicode Creating log file: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\OU03V2KF\aswclnr[1].log 8/28/2008, 11:51:11 PM Memory scanning started... I have no clue what all of that means and anything I can find on anything wants me to do the ComboFix and then something else...well every time I try to download anything at all my computer shuts itself off and a blue screen comes up and says all of this.....(yes I wrote it down word from word)....

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates.

If the problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software.Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe modeto remove or disable components, restart your computer,pressF8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then selectsafe mode.

So as you can see I have no clue whatsoever what any of this all means...PLEASE help me get my computer back to like it was.The symptoms are that it restarts itself...freezes and IE7 crashes...messngers are also now crashing.Just alot of errors.I have completely uninstalled MySpaveIM...as this is when it all started, after I downloaded that.

I will be waiting for a reply and thank you so much in advanced. You will be my hero if you can help me get this back to normal.
    Thanks again,

Your stop error is 50 (because of the ending two numbers).
This is how a stop error 50 is explained.
Which all sounds geek, I suspect.

When your computer starts up, press F8. This will bring up a string of choices...select "Safe Mode with networking". Does the computer behave or does it still act up?

Have you ever opened your computer? In fact, is this a desktop or a notebook? Or you running XP or Vista? What is the make and model?

Thanks Plodr....But that computer done crashed on me.It wouldn't start for me at all so I had the computer guy come and get it and try to fix it for me...cost me 45 bucks for him to tell me that it was dead....he said the main problem was the motherboard went out on it and so I don't know.I have another computer that needed a new hard drive so I got it up and running.Thank you for all your help tho.Now I just need to be downloading everything that I had on my other computer, lol I do have Avast!Professional on here now ,is that a good virus protector? Also I need to download that spyware removal scan you told me about.Anything else that I need to download to keep this in good shape?
    Thanks again!
