Hi, I had this in the Malware removel forum and was told by TimW to place it in software forum.
My computer is still playing up and down my outlook keeps saying "Not Responding"

This is what I place in the other one...

Hi, about two weeks ago, my computer was running fine, then I kept getting the "Not Responding" message coming up all the time, the one program it came up the most on was Internet Explorer and after that on most of all the others I ran.

Also my computer would shut down very slowly and when I turn it on was alot slower then before.
I have heard some clicking sounds come from the computer, but not all the time, I have done the fix errors on the C Drive, but is still running slow, so I tried your Vista cleaning procedure and still no joy, I did have a virus which Superanti found, you can see this in the log below.
Also when I try and do scan they are now taking hours to do, one took over 8 hours to run, which before would be done in 1 hour.

    :(

Hi, I have run the error checker 2 times now on my C Drive and still no joy.

Also did the other and it said " Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations"

Also forgot to say, when I close down Internet Explorer, after I have done it a pop up window comes up and says " Internet Explorer has stopped working" and then it open's it up again.
    :(

What version of IE do you run? Try reinstalling IE - IE8 is the best choice nowadays.

Hi, I upgraded to IE8 still no joy.

It's not just IE that is playing up its all my programs andit's driving me mad.
Just to go from one program to another it takes over 1 minutes just to open, then more time to get it running.

Is they any thing else you can think about, I just want to kill my computer at the moment.

Could you try right clicking on the IE icon and run without extensions/add-ons/etc. and see how that goes? If it's alright then you start enabling them one by one to see if there's a compatibility problem with one of them. That's done via the gray gear wheel icon in IE.

Another good thing would be installing Secunia PSI and update 3d party software according to it's suggestions. http://majorgeeks.com/Secunia_Personal_Software_Inspector_PSI_d6096.html

    1. Also: what security software do you run? Firewall, anti-virus and anti-spyware?
    2. Open Roxio and look under "Help". Try the update function in there.

What devices do you have connected?
If you have the basic connected is it still as slow?

Also have you cleaned the PC recently (removed dust build up) ?
