For all those, like me, who have had Windows Search constantly freezing, I came across this program http://www.voidtools.com/
It scanned my computer in seconds and found everything flawlessly.

Hi. After doing a search on our forum, it looks like you aren't the first person to talk positively about this program. :)

    Matter of fact, I did.
Although this program will never find it.
I sent you, Chaslang and Jim PM's and never received an answer.

I can't find anything in your user base to explain why you are not able to use PM's. I have PM'd you and also asked Jim to contact you. Hope that will work.

If you are still having problems, just email Jim at majorgeeks.com

I use Everything Search quite a bit, have recommended it several times in my posts and first learned about it here at the MG forums.

Just a couple of days ago, I used the standard built in search with Windows XP and it failed to produce any valid results. When I used Everything, it found what I wanted.

What Everything is missing is the fine tuning such as Date Range.
However, you can click on the column headings to sort the results.
Sorting by Path helps to locate recently modified application configuration files and such,
as in Application Data and Local Settings.

Thanks PSCO2007 for the link to "Everything". search program.
    http://www.voidtools.com/
    Everything-1.2.1.371.exe
A small download at 334KB and installs fast.
It also searches progressively as you type in letters, really fast.

    Thanks again.
