Computer set back to factory settings

My parents just got their computer back from Staples and they had it reset back to factory settings. When they turn their computer on they called me because they said their screen is huge and it looks like it's off the page. Could this be because they need to reinstall their drivers or other things?

Open Display Settings, and try adjusting the resolution to 'Recommended' or one that is suitable.

If you cannot change the resolution, open Device Manager and see if there are any flags for your display adapter - if so, give us the information, but it's most likely that the video drivers must be reinstalled.

 

Thank you. I am going over there tomorrow and I will check that out. I didn't realize you would answer so quickly. Much appreciated. If the device manager shows a flag, I will note and repost. If not, I'm assuming they might have discs that came with the computer and hopefully it has the video drivers that i can install.

 

I get that after every reformat and reinstall.
It gets to where it's expected.

Most, maybe all, modern monitors have size and other adjustments accessed by buttons on the front. You normally have to set each resolution to fit the screen at the monitor. Check the Monitor makers user manual for exact instructions. Some have an Auto setting that will do it for you.
