Computer shuts down while playing mmorpgs

Hi

What Windows version and Service Pack?
What is the MMORPG game?
Do any other games cause a crash or just this type? if just a MMORPG then do post the games name, and also your Laptop Make and Model (dont need anything like an Everest log as the Make and Model gives this info)

Possible is high temps and laptops are prone to higher temps that their desktop cousins, so check your temps and post what CPU, Motherboard etc are, can use Speedfan

Check the air vents of the laptop are not blocked by any dust and fluff, also make sure the laptop is on a flat surface with good ventilation underneath.

Do you get any error messages in Event Viewer at the time of the shutdown that may give clues, could be in System or Application event logs, just check next time the PC shuts down when playing a MMORPG, and if there are a few event errors at the exact time of the crash, then paste them into a Notepad file and attach them to your next post using this GUIDE
