Hello yesterday my Nod32 detected a virus, it gave the option to delete it. When I tri
ed deleting it, it did not let me. After I restarted my computer it kept restarting at my login. Safe mode and safe mode with networking does not work. I would like to try a system restore but that does not seem to be working. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you getting an error about lsass.exe?

It said my explorer.exe was infected and also another file called wininit.exe I think? And for the link for malware removal...I'd love to remove it but I think you missed the part of my problem that states that my computer restarts right when the login screen comes up. Does anyone know how to access command prompt while booting, and the command for system restore?

Any boot scanner/cleaners that I could put on my usb to fix this?

When you press F8 at startup do you have an option for last known good configuration?

Sir, please proceed to the Malware section of this site. Saying that explorer.exe, which is essentially Windows, is corrupted is a typical sign you are infected.

Thanks and be sure to hit the thanks button on the way over there.

Ok so i let windows repair itself and when i came back my computer was at the login screen (did not restart) when i clicked my user and entered my password the computer hanged on the "Welcome" for a little bit then a black screen with the mouse cursor was there, which stayed forever.

Some odd reason after i restarted safe mode + networking started to work. I am now in the process of scanning my computer. It looked like my computer had stopped booting all the required services, when ran normally. Only a few executables had started, Explorer.exe was not there. I tried running explorer.exe but windows said it was not found etc...

I am using Windows 7 btw

    Update:

Ive system restored and that does not seem to work. My computer no longer restarts at the login screen which is a good sign. Problem is when i do login after the "Welcome" i get a black screen with the mouse cursor still visible, and it just stays like that. Ive done numerous scans but nothing seems to work. The only ways i can get into my computer are through safe mode, or directory service repair (which seems to work the best). Please someone help me with this problem...
