Computer turning off while gaming

So a month or two ago this was the same issue and stopped for a while but has been happening again the last few days.

I'll be playing a game and then my computer turns off (sometimes 10 minutes in, sometimes 20-30minutes. And won't start up again unless I unplug the cable and plug it back in or mess with it a little bit. I have monitored CPU (Core Temp) and GPU (Catalyst Control Center) temperatures. Both were about 53C the last time it happened a little bit ago. So it doesn't seem to be an overheating problem, which makes me think it has to be the PSU.

I used compressed air to clean out everything and the CPU heatsink. And tried to just blow through the back of the PSU but nothing really came out that I saw. Should I just bite the bullet and try a new PSU? Or would the problem be somewhere else?

CPU: Phenom II X4 Black 955
GPU: Radeon HD 6950
PSU: Cooler Master 750w
Mem: 4gb

Go into the BIOS and bump up your CPU core voltage a little and see if that helps stabilize the CPU.

Hi

What Windows Version and Service Pack are you using and is it fully upto date with at least critical updates?

Are you drivers upto date, and mainly graphics card?

What games are you using and are they upto date also?

I would try and disable all startups and use msconfig > startup tab for this and reboot and then try the games, just to rule out a 3rd party startup causing the issue as some security and backup apps can cause issues at times.

As your issue stop and starts then I have to think software as the issue as I mention aboe checking installed and boot at startup apps to rule them out.
