computer turns off

more problems with my niehgbors computer, other than being covered by with viruses and spyware it's now shuting itself off, but it comes back after I unplug it open it up and plug it back in. about a minute after it's turned on it shuts back off. Also earlier today the explorer kept freezing, icons would dissapear nothing would pop up, it came back to normal, but now it just does what I said turn itself off.

 

Sasser maybe. Sounds like the computer is beyond repair, I would just format it and have a fresh new install of the OS.

 

yah i was thinking that, or maybe even a new hard drive it's been about 5 years now, on a decent computer, but since they dont have a windows disk is there any way to remove it... just temporarily.

 

Yes, you can get the removal tool from microsft. Just download it, and put it onto a disk. Than put it into the computer and try to run the removal tool as fast as possible.

 

lol sounds like a plan I'll give it a try, even tho his computer already takes forever to start up , but thanks very much.
