Computer turns on then shuts off.

useing a gigabyte tech ga-m55 plus Mother board ive tried oretty much everything.

Tried pulling the battery no good.
Tried bare boneing everything no good.
Ive replaced everything in it but the motherboard cuse im out of cash.
Ive tried jumping the pins for the power switch no go.
Tried covering the mounting spot with electrical tape nothing.

It was a ga-m55 plus with 3 gb ram and 1.8 ghz processor.
AMD sp350 350 watt power supply.
If anything else is needed ask me.
it just turns on for like half a second and shuts back off. lights come on and then its gone.

 

just a bump guessing i need to replace the motherboard.

 

Have had this occur in the past a couple of times. Once the mobo had taken a lightening spike. But the other, was simply a blown fuse inside of my power supply. Depending on how it is mounted it can be easy to difficult to replace. Before you spend the money on a new mobo.. see if you can get a hold of another ps, borrow from a friend or so, or just have yours tested. A p.s tester is much cheaper then buying either of the others, and finding out you replaced the wrong part.

 

I've replaced everything includeing the PS long before no good.

 

Try booting up with one stick of memory and swapping it out with another one of your sticks if it doesn't work. Sounds like it couple be a memory issue and if so, it would be easy to check.

 

tried with each stick and no stick nothing. and i know the sticks are good my bro used em in his computer atm.
