Computer Upgrade

Hey guys. I'm planning on spending my tax refund on some new computer hardware, and I just wanted to post here and see if the hardware I have picked out will be decent enough, and see if anyone has any suggestions before I make the final purchase.

My current system is
Video Card - ATI Radeon x1900xtx 512mb
CPU - 2.8Ghz Pentium 4
Motherboard - Cheap Intel Board
Memory - DDR2 533 (2x512mb sticks)
OS - WinXP Pro SP1 (don't plan on upgrading to Vista)

I'm currently looking at these upgrades, seeing as my CPU (and probably RAM) is the bottleneck at the moment.

I'm trying to keep the budget small, but don't want to go to cheap. I'm also looking for a decent heatsink for the new CPU, but I'm not sure which one to get. The current video card is rather large, and I'm not sure which heatsink will fit around it or what not.

 

Can we please have you budget and what you want the computer for.
Office use, gaming, for your kids to use the internet and little gaming.

I have some websites that can guide you through what to buy.
But i will give you some suggestions if you cant be botherd reading them and learning all the stuff.
