Computer won't boot after adding Sound Blaster Z. Help please.

Hello, I bought a Sound Blaster Z and installed it yesterday and my computer wouldn't boot afterwards. It has power but won't boot (monitor stays off and no power to G15 keyboard). When I remove the sound card the computer boots again fine. So everything is good with my computer. Also the sound card is compatible with my computer.
Is the sound card dead or what? I checked everything for loose connections. I also tried the sound card in the PCIe x1 slot and the PCIe X16 slot, same results both times.

You could try turning of the integrated sound via the BIOS, then install the card. That may work, may not...

 

What other cards and devices (CD/dvd, hard drives) do you have installed in the computer? Sounds like the Power Supply is unable to handle all of that load. Can you post the info off of the plate for the Power Supply, if you do not remember how many watts it was (ie 85, 300, 800, etc.).
