computer wont boot after installing McAfee

i am running windows vista ultimate edition and i just installed McAfee Total Protection. I rebooted and now it wont boot at all! i even tried booting into safe mode but it still wont work. I can get to the loading screen (with the moving bar) and then it goes black. when it goes black there is just a black screen with a cursor thats movable

what happened?!

 

try booting into safe mode... vista may have been corrupted. If safe mode doesn't work pop in your vista CD and use the recovery tools.

 

when i boot into safe mode the same thing happens. im having trouble booting from any cd

 

well i cant seem to boot from any CD is my computer a goner?

 

im just about ready to throw this thing out the window and i need this thing to boot because i have a paper to write i have tried every thing i can think of and it all results in a black screen with a cursor.

something thats weird is that if i leave the black screen running, then a sort of screen saver begins to play with the vista logo apearing every once in awhile
