computer wont boot...!

hey guys, seem to have a slight or not so slight problem here.
was trying to start my comp in safe mode, it didn't seem to want to do it. then did run msconfig, and and checked the safe mode box so it would boot in safe mode. did restart as it asked and it still didnt want to boot. now it will not boot at all, and keeps coming up with 'we apoligize for the inconveniece, but windows did not start successfully...and gives options of starting in safe mode, last known config, normally etc....' none of which are working. keeps loading coming to this page, then reloading regardless of what option i pick.

can someone let me know what i can try now? nothings worse than a computer that wont load!

comp is sony vai0 rz504, 3.4GHz, OS - windows XP pro SP2.

 

Will it boot from your XP CD? If it does you may have to do a repair install.

 

If you cannot get system restore to work. These following options are available

hi guys, thanks for the replies...the computer was buggin me with a few other things anyway so i just did a factory settings job on my c:
spent the last 5 hours installing drivers and software etc...nearly finished!
thank for the advice tho.
