Computer Wont Boot

I'm at my friends house now, and i brought my computer so we could play some WoW together. As soon as i set up and start my computer, i hear one long beep and 2 short, and that means that my computers videocard isnt working. Ive had this happen before.

I have a Abit nf7-s2 mobo
radion 9800 pro
512mb Pc 3200 mushkin ram
anything else you need to know, please let me know.

Update: i swtiched the power cable in the back because it was loose, and now it works. yeah i know its weird, but it works now. *dances*

Sounds like it's time to try that video card in another machine or swap in another card to your machine.

 

well this card is not even 6 months old, and i wish i could do that right now.

 

Life occasionally sucks. And sometimes electronics die early. I think you need to check out that possibility.

At least, if your video card has died, you can probably make a warranty claim. But best to make sure that's what's happened before you make the claim.

 

I hope all that this is, or that something stupid got jiggled loose when i went to my friends. I know newegg will take my videocard back, they are good like that. Thanks for the help though.
