Computer wont open software after hibernation.

After coming out of hibernation, no programs will open. Mouse pointer works fine, but NOTHING else. Cant do ctrl, alt del either, to open task manager. Power off, reboot and it works fine. Any help is appreciated, not very tech savvy.

 

What windows are you running and what kinda Anti Virus are u using.

 

After the whole Vista fiasco with hibernation, I shut it down any chance I get. Even on my work machines, it is turned off, due to there are too many problems with hibernate fubar'ing machines.

 

Sorry, Windows 7, Home Premium 64. Microsoft security essentials.
