Having trouble with my comp, kind of a lot to read, but didnt wanna leave anything out, was hoping you guys could help =\

Copy and pasting this because i emailed a friend about it
    Specs: Windows 7
    500gb HD Maxtor 7200 rpm
    ati x1900
    3gb ram
    2.5 quad phenom

Having a problem with my quad core, and cant think of what the hell to do since i think ive done everything im able to. was playin WoW when it started freezin up, so i turn it off and turned it back on, except it wouldnt start up, just hangs at the windows is starting screen with no microsoft logo. I tried restarting a couple times, left it, and it finaly started like the 4th time but took forever to start up. Shit on it was running slow, like google chrome and steam, so i scheduled an error check and restarted. when i restarted, it skipped the error check, nothing even came up for it, went to the microsoft is loading screen again with no logo for like 3 or 4 min, asks if i want to start MS in normal or in repair mode, hit normal and after like 5 min of loading it sometimes goes to a blue background screen (where it says welcome except it didnt) restarted, same thing, some times it wont even get that far and just stays at the MICROSOFTISLOADING... So i said screw it, i'll reformat. Put the disc in launched it, gets to the shit where i select my language and shit, and hit install now, then sits at Setup is starting... and wont do shit. One out the times it got past that and asked me where i wanted to install it at, except there was nothing there, saying i basically had no OS on the system to change or no HD to put a new OS on. so i was like hell, i'll try a win xp cd instead of win 7. Turn it off to restart it and now the monitor wont freakin work. I tested it on my laptop, so it works, and tested the win 7 cd on my laptop, it also works.

    Tried:
Starting in safemode, takes forever to load the files, and freezes at one of them so i cant even do that.

    Removed cmos battery

I changed everything i could think of in Bios before monitor stopped working

Tried to start in repair mode, got all errors when i tried doing any of the options, like restore point, recovery, all that shit. When i clicked on restore it said i had to select an OS before i could restore to a particular point, and yes i checked the connections to the HD (its SATA)

    HD LED is flashing

Bios says the HD is connected

    Checked thermal paste

Cant swap the HD out to another computer because my other comp is IDE

Dont think its overheating, cool wind was coming out of both my fans, although when i unscrewed it and had it in my hands it was pretty hot.

i did nothing when this happened, added nothing, installed nothing, just happened all of a sudden, it was just taking forever to load and start up, WoW would freeze before i could even start moving around.

Can't really do much for subbing because i got nothing laying around here, so its kinda hard to troubleshoot by myself, any input would be awesome

Hi, well, a quite long e-mail. i suggest to you be more specific, people aren't always patient to read it all.

Well, you know now i'm the guy that reads it. I guess it could be a RAM issue but i show you what i do when a computer shows problems that i don't know what they are.

About your problem i suggest to you to start it and test with basic hardware.

    FIRST STEPS AND BASIC TEST

    1. Remove Video Card, CD/DVD, Floppy (if you have, god, what i'm saying), Extra Discs.

2.Now, only MoBo (Mother Board), Font, Hard Disk.

3.Unplugg Power Cables, from MotherBoard and HDD, every cable even processor to avoid any electricity static still there. Reconnect Power for HDD, Processor and MoBo.

4.Remove all Extra RAM Modules, just left one (1) to start the PC.

    5. Turn on PC and don't forget change the monitor cable to the MoBo connector (before it was connect on Graph Acelerator isn't?).

It must run normally and you could start to connect the other devices one per one to see what's failing, if don't i'd try using a different RAM Module... If the problem still tell us.
