Computer won't start,asks to enter in safe mode but restarts and sends me back.

Black screen (black screen of death) upon start up, computer won't run, help?

I got this issue after an unfortunate power cut, the system started up but then restarted again unexpectedly, after that i got this 'black screen of death'. Everytime I start up my computer it ask to enter in 'safe mode', 'safe mode with command prompt' or 'last know configuration settings' or something in that sort.

It acts as if it is going to start then it restarts and brings me back to the black screen with ALL of the choices, no mattter which I choose!

(I'm on my brother's computer, if you must know haha)
