  1. Hello Geeks,

I have just installed a new motherboard (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4150#ov) and after plugging in all the necessary peripherals the power supply will not turn on.

The power supply is plugged into the wall.

The next thing I checked was the F-Panel with the (Power Switch, Reset Switch, and the H.D.D LED) and I believe they are all in the right locations. The color of the wires for all three are Black, White/ Blue, White/ Purple, White. I'm assuming that the White is positive and the black, blue, purple is negative.

Please ask any questions for more information because I'm sure that this is not enough to come to a conclusion.

The power switch on the case should provide a short when pushing the power button. On the mother board case header pin 6 & 8 should go to the power button on the case.
