I recently fell victim to the whole HSA browser hijack thing. I managed to get rid of it with some help from various forums like this one. Around the time the HSA thing first started, I found a new process running called Comsrv.exe. I thought maybe the two were connected, but it is still running and causing problems. It seems to slow down my browser, sometimes stopping it completely until I try to end comsrv.exe through Taskmanager. After ending it a few times (it keeps coming back), my browser resumes like nothing happened. I've managed to track it to the following file C:/WINNT/Speech/. I'm hesitant to delete the folder, cuz I don't know what it does. By looking at some of the other files in the folder, I suspect it has something to do with my microphone (it's a noname brand, plug and play type. I haven't used it in months, but don't want to lose it). When I search yahoo or google for 'comsrv' I get a bunch of hits for some company that has something to do with Visual Basic. If I search with the .exe attached, I get one hit to a russian site, where I have no clue what they're saying. I've ran Spybot, AdAware, Norton Antivirus, and Hijackthis, with no luck.

Does any one know wtf it does, where it might have come from, how to get rid out it, etc.
    BTW I use Windows XP

    Thanx
    ^_^
