Concerns regarding task manager processes

Start up is very slow sometimes my computer will freeze for long periods (10 minutes or longer) if I click and it's not done setting up. I also have took dell dock and the side bar out of the start up services since I thought that was slowing my start up more, but even then it's still very slow.

For my task manger when I bring it up I took a quick picture or screenie of it and it always has explorer.exe running using 20 percent cpu. But as quickly as I bring it up the cpu usage for explorer.exe drops to 0. Is it suppose to only show usage when you bring up your task manager?

Also java.exe*32 uses 22-30 percent usage when I play this game called runescape. Not sure if this is normal considering I've seen the cpu usage for it at 11 percent at times but these times do not last longer then a period of 5minutes.

I also got multiples of some items such as iexplore.exe*32, beepapp.exe, taskeng.exe, is that normal to have multiples of these items in your task manager or no?. None are using large amounts if any cpu usage at all from what I can see but it's weird to see multiples of these processes, or is to me, I'm not a computer expert by any means so if this is normal then ok.

And my internet runs slow because it's dial up, but it disconnects more then it used to as of late. Sometimes up to 7 times in a single day compared to 2-3 times a day before. So maybe I assumed something was disconnecting my internet.

I've attached pictures of what my task manager is showing right now. Just need to know what I can do to speed my computer up. I currently use advanced systemcare free version to fix registerys and help clean system with my webroot clean up.

    Greetings, battleground...

I'd recommend following the steps in the Read and Run Me First thread in the Malware Forum - you could very well have some suspicious activity going on...

Did all that a few days ago. Came up clean. The person that helped me told me to post the issues I'm having in the software forum to see if I can get any help here.

    Thank you in advance.

With 6 gigs of memory, you should not be having any issues with slowness. You also have a lot of items running in task manager. Have you considered using a startup manager:
