I've got a problem with the configFree tool. It worked when I bought the Satelite M65 but then I removed it from the auto boot. Now I installed it to auto boot and now it doesn't find a wireless Signal. The Connectivity Doctor says that the Wireless counter is at the position "off" but it is at "on" and with the normal windows network I'm connected with internet.

I deinstalled it and reinstalled it but it doesn't work.
What can I do that the ConfigFree tool recognize that the counter is on? Thank's for any help in advance Chuck

Currently I am not on a wireless pc so I can't get you the exact steps but
look around windows wireless configuration for a check box that says something to the effect of " let Windows handle my wireless connection" and disable that.
When you have Windows and a 3rd party program trying to control the wireless you'll get some conflicts.

The wireless is physically switched on right? (If that is an option, my Sat. it is)

This lappy seems newer than mine so I'll just throw it out there as a wild stab in the dark... does it matter if your on battery or AC?
I had worked on a Dell that wireless was disabled on battery power... worth a look.

I also have that problem with my M65 S809. It just started happening recently and it is totally frustrating. My wireless reception is extremely poor wherever I am, only in some cases when I am next to the router I get a constant strong signal reception. Could it be a driver malfunction?

Open you r connections window under network places ...right click the wireless connection / properties / network adapter - configure / power tab and uncheck the let Windows handle my wireless connection.

Tim Thanks I've tryed that no work, Everything else works on configfree,The program has a radiar like part that would show all wireless connections around and it has stop working, and when you clik on in it shows a note that the wireless switch is off.(It's on) I can still change to other wireless places if I go to like a coffee shop ect.I guess I just like to see all the wireless places around me,Was cool to see them beeping around the radiar. And it drives me crazzzzy that I can't figger out why it stoped working:mad: .Just a geek thing I think. I called Toshiba tech. and they told me If every thing else was working that I don't need that:rolleyes: . I have uninstalled and reinstalled no work.Anyway Thanks for reply
