I am not a computer wiz and am building a computer myself for the first time. I intend on using this computer for storage of movies recorded from my TV and DVD's I own, as well as music and personal pictures from my digital camera. I will also use this computer for typical home use such as internet browsing and MS Office use. I want two hard drives one for storage of movies music and pictures, and the other for normal computer use. I intend on using an Intel 865PE chipset motherboard, an Intel 3.0MHz HT processor, 2 160GB Seagate HD's, an ATi All-In-Wonder video card, and Microsoft XP Professional.
1)I need to know the easiest practical way to configure and use both hard drives simultaniously.
2)Also, do I need to install my OS on both hard drives?
3)Does XP Proffesional user friendly when toggling between HD's?
4)Will software on both HD's appear on my desktop in icon format?
Input as to what hardware and software is better is appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance for your help

I woud reccomend creating multiple partitions on your HDD's.
Example the rig I'm using now Has three partitions on a single HDD, one for the OS and programs, the other's one has music and the third is what ever.
This can be done on both your HDD's.
If ya set up multiple partitions can use one large one for movies(movies eat up alot of space), another for pictures, another for music, what ever ya want, generally you would use the first partition on the primary/master HDD for your OS and basic programs.
