Confused about Nvidia Drivers

I have a Asus P5ND2-SLI motherboard with Nforce chipset in it.

    I also have two Nvidia Gforce 7800GT's 256mb (SLI-Mode)

I updated my drivers over the weekend. Then I clicked on one of your links to do a driver scan. It said I needed to upgrade both my sets of drivers. (motherboard and graphic cards)

Thinking it may have been a mistake I then went to pcpitstop.com and ran a scan and that site said the same thing.

I'm uninstalling the old drivers through the control panel/add and remove programs, and then restarting the pc, prior to installing the new drivers.

Am I missing something here. The benchmark on the pcpitstop said my 7800 GT's are WAY below the benchmarks.

So I uninstalled then reinstalled again, ran the scans and said the same thing.

    I'm at a loss.

    Thanks in advance,

    Brian

PS: I run XP Home SP2

Maybe your processer and power supply is not up to the task. ed

No that's not it, because I have a 3.0ghz Intel Duo Core processor and a 450mhz power supply.

I got the computer through cyberpowerpc.com

Thanks for the suggestion though I really appreciate it.

    Any other thoughts?

    I'm really stumped here.

PS: Great website I did the maintainence you suggested and WOW what a difference in performance. Did the same to the wifes pc. Thank you all from both of us.

Scans for drivers and if you have older drivers installed are in my experience hit and miss, I have a brand new motherboard and know for a fact the Intel chipset from both Intel and my motherboard maker are current and no others exist, but scanning with various driver scans tells me they are out of date, so please take those scans with a pinch of salt.

The best test for Graphic Cards and again still take them with pinch of salt, unless way way below everyone elses average is 3D Mark 06 also may need the update patch too Update Patch for 3D Mark 06

once run compare your results with those online at http://service.futuremark.com/orb/ ( will need to sign up to compare )

RAM also figures a fair bit in benchmarks so how much and what speed you have?

First let me verify that's the power supply I have thanks for the link I'll let you know on that.

Next, I'll check that as well (Driver info in 4th post).

I may not get to it until this weekend though.

Thanks for the help so far much appreciated. :)
