Confused - How To Download & Install Windows 10 On Windows 7 Laptop

Current system: Windows 7 SP1 64 bit
Laptop: ASUS K52F

Okay, I know the answer to this question is probably quite simple, but the more I read online, the more confused I get.

On my Windows 7 laptop, I want to download Windows 10, put Windows 10 on either a USB drive or DVD, reboot off the USB / DVD, and execute a fresh install of Windows 10 on the laptop.

I need the detailed steps I need to follow. I would appreciate if someone would help alleviate my confusion by either pointing me to the answer online, or by giving me the detailed steps I need.

Note: The laptop does meet Microsoft's minimum requirements for Windows 10.
