    Confused-I hope you can help.

I am evaluating a Desktop p6510y and p6520f. The 6520f has a slightly faster chip and 6 vs. 4 memory.
I am working with a charity called 'Free Charity Cars". They get donated cars and give them free to needy people. At the website you develop a friends list where you vote for people. As your return votes increase, you chance of getting a car or assistance increases.
On the HP p6510y, I can hold the Control <Ctrl> key and click on the name or picture on the Friends List and the tabs add across the top. On the 6520, I click on the Name or picture and the the screen briefly blinks, the tab is created and I have to go back to the Friends list.
I don't know why this happens. I would like to keep the 6520 since it has more memory and the computers are the same price; however, if I cannot rectify the situation, I may have to stay with the 6510 as it takes me 3 times as much to vote for my almost 600 friends and assist FCC.

Caliban I don't need no steenkin' title!

There have to be some other differences - processor speed and amount of RAM have nothing to with how browsers display...

What are the operating systems, service pack #s, browser types and versions, etc.?

I read the original post and was like...."I know what the problem is" than you fixed it. Awesome!!!
Just in case anyone else reading this post is like "I have a similar problem but was not sure what funkyecat meant.
If using IE, right click the IE icon on your desktop, you normally are already defaulted to the "GENERAL" tab, towards the bottom you will see "TABS" click "Settings" in the "TAB" area. You can change what you need to there.
I am not as familiar with exactly how to do it in FF. :)
Best of luck funkyecat and it looks like a really worth while charity your are doing. :)
