Hehehe, ya I finally built the i7 after a 6-month stint of speccing and pricing it out. Otherwise you could have beat me hands down.;) As to 'talking about it' I'm having a hard time to even congratulate our team without seeming to be self servicing.

"Hey, great folding team as we set a record of 2.1M pts this month" where I got 1.7M of them. I just can't do it, someone else has to. Bill?;)

Wow man, this is a popular thread with 125 views already.

I just had to yank your chain a little bit augie.;)
Your example is what got me into the OC game anyway and it has been very productive for both of us and the science too.:cool
BILL, also with the new hardware, great job.

Now, if a few more MGers would crank up those Xmas video cards, we'd have a few more PPD to add to the team total.

That's fine man but the chain is hooked up to a very sensitive part of me!:p:-D I'm glad that I was able to provide you with a loftier goal but you did all the heavy lifting.;)

Absolutely! All those cards together, even if not on 24/7, would be a big boost to the science and points for MG. It would only take a few minutes(like 3) to set up and is painless and unnoticeable unless one is gaming(just suspend the fold).:)

Here's a toast to all present and future folders, "Have a happy and prosperous folding 2011'.:wine

Did you all know that Distributed Computing for folding is now equated to a super computer in the 5 petaflop area? That's a lot of individual PC's.

That's the attitude man!:) Heck, if I was one of those 'one upman' type people I might do this after mortgaging the house and selling my first born.:eek He has plans to clone this rack. This is at $500 a pop per copy, all headless OC'd i7s doing -bigadv. Do the math. 660K PPD.:cry :-D

Please ignore my 'oneupman' comment above, it was in jest but I now see that it was in poor taste also.:( This person has /will invest a small fortune for folding. I have to respect that donation to the cause as we all pay.:)

That setup could be used for the Space Program.
    Now THATS oneupmanship for you.
(I knew you were kidding, Augie.)

Congratulations lbmest on 10,000,000 points! :celebrate :highfive

Yay, :-D I remembered my password, I'm knot senile yet! OH OH :cry

Good to see most of the gang still around, being cantankerous and helpful as always. ;)

I hope to be more active folding during the winter months while I use my computers to heat my house. Perhaps get an inexpensive and 'out of date?' ;) P55 system folding after the new Sandy Bridge goodies arrive in full force?

Take care everyone :grouphug, Happy New Year to All :clap, and I wish folding laundry was as rewarding as F@H! :seeya ................Scott K. :banghead

You can throw some pretty good PPD. What have you got under the hood so to speak? (Enquiring minds and all that.;))
