In order to beef up security, we switched our home network from WEP to WPA2 on the Linksys WRT54G router.

The laptop has no problem connecting to our network, and the signal is strong, but when we try to surf the internet, all we get is "page not found" messages.

Is there some setting that I have to change to correct this? We can surf no problem using WEP encryptation.

a quick search in wikipedia says that wpa may not work with some older network cards. could that be part of the problem?

Strong signal and seeing the Network in WZC does not mean that you actually have a connection.

If you have a connection you should be able to log to the Router's Menus.

Otherwise, your card is probably Not capable for WPA.
