connecting 2 pcs to use with a 3 mobile dongle

    hi all
    ive came up with an idea that i can connect my pc to the 1 in my kids room so my daughter can use the internet..
    i only have a 3 dongle as my broadband connection.
    am i right in sayin i can put a cable from my pc to my daughters pc to allow her internet connection....
    can anybody please give me step by step instructions on how to do this please

    You don't specify what OS you are using so here are tutorials for XP and Vista ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) which is what you need to set up -

    Your computer is the "host or server" computer and your daughter's computer would be the "client". Also your computer would have to be powered up for your daughter's comp to connect. And yes, you would need to ethernet cable to your daughter's comp for the easiest way to do this.
