Connecting PC`s (Win7,XP,Vista)

Hey there we have 4 computers two Laptops running Win7 and two desktops running winXP and Vista. We are using a D-Link 624m.

I have no idea how to link the two desktops. I am able to connect to two notebooks via wireless. I`m pretty sure win7 makes that easy. ultimately I would like a 4 PCs connected.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Would you like to connect them so they can both go on the internet? Or file\printer sharing + internet?

thanks for the replies folks. Sorry I wasnt to specific.

We all have internet that was the easy part. Now we all get want to trade files and stuff between the computers. I cant figure out how to get the wireless laptops linked with the wired desktops and visa versa.

 

First, you need to configure file sharing on the computers running XP.

Next, you need to change the workgroup on all the computer so that they are the same.
[in xp] [in vista\seven]

Now, go to Start > My Network Places > View Workgroup Computers

You will then have access to the other computers.

**note** you need to set the folders to be shared and to allow network users to change my files
