I'm trying to connect my PC to my 40in LCD TV. (Trying to use it as a semi second monitor for games) The TV and PC both have HDMI connections, but when I connect the two the HDMI channel on the tv just says "no signal"

I assumed this would basically just be a plug n' play kind of thing but apparently it's not, or I'm doing something wrong.

Can anyone tell me how to connect the two?

    Thanks

Since you are trying to use two monitors, check the video card settings - I believe you need configure this in the cards settings menu.

Another problem people have doing this is they fail to make sure the PC is set to a resolution the TV supports. Try 1024 X 768 at 60hz first - which is the native resolution on a number of TVs.

Your TV manual should list the resolutions your TV supports.
