Connecting to internet in safe mode

    I am trying to do all the online virus scans for trojans, viruses etc. as in Major Attitude's sticky and it says to do this in safe mode but I cant connect to internet in safe mode :rolleyes: I selected 'safe mode with network support' but could not connect to broadband at all - nothing happened when clicked on it - no dialogue box for the dialup or anything?!

    Not sure if safe to go ahead in normal mode? also will the scans still be as effective?
