connecting to the internet, using windows vista

    :cry, Hi, I recently installed windows vista ultimate 32 bit edition,clean install. now I can't get any connection to the internet. Check everything even bypass the wireless router.I don't know what gives. Using dsl service no username or password is needed. Straight connection. even try to ping the gateway came back as failed. help please.:cry

    Who is the service provider, and what is the model/brand of the modem?

    What is your IP address and default gateway?

    got it to work, thanks for your help anyway. jus disabled anything with Pv in the network adapter properties.
