I want to make sure what I want to so is possible. I live in one story house, but it spans a good deal so one wireless router doesn't even come close to covering my house. I want to connect one wireless router to another via a Cat 6 cable. One is a newer Linksys wireless N router and the other is a US Robotics wireless G router. So would I need to change the wireless G router even though I am going to connect the two via hard wire? Both have different default IP addresses. Thanks in advance for the help!

Turn off DHCP in the router that is not directly connected to your ISP modem. Connect the routers together as you suggest but use one of the (4) LAN ports on each router for the connection and you should be good to go.
