whenever I play any game it disconnects for 3-5-7 seconds at a time, its not because of the graphics, it just does it, it doesnt disconnect me from the game but it is really annoying and keeps me from killing people..........any solutions? (ps, its not my router or wireless card, this only happens in online gameplay)

what are your system specs? also, what kind of programs are you running in the background, antivirus, Firewall, system utilities, etc. How many computers are on your network? Is this a consitent thing, does it happen when you're the only computer on the internet?

any info you have is helpful.:)

I have a wireless network with 2 other computers on it (not including mine) and I use the other one occationally to play halo with no problem, my computer , when playing any game (ex, bf2) it will say "a problem was detected with your connection" for about 2 seconds and my guy will freeze, then I will start up again, this happens every 2 minutes, but only when Playing online games, not internet browsing or AIM

Do you have the current patch for the server hosting the game? Is your CD-Key valid?

when internet browsing or with AIM, you dont have the same constant connection you do with a game server. Games put a lot more stress on your internet conneciton and in turn, network card.

This could be a network card problem, maybe even driver related. have you tried updating our drivers to the latest Intel Chipset and network drivers? Located Here

and for nnetwork adapter drivers here

the first one is the driver, the second is a diagnostic utility you might try running.

on a side note, BF2 on an fx5500? thats got to be terrible.

ive had that problem before and i think it was my router overheating..it was getting very hot...and it was a bad port, try switching ports on your router and see if it still happens

its ok guys, I found the problem, my network card was a dell USB 2.0 outboard card and apperently brand new things from dell suck, so I took my old PCI network card that is 3 yeard old and used it and now my games run smooth as butter

belive it or not bf2 seems to run fine
