Installed drivers, etc. etc...His connection works for the first 5 mins or so then cops out..While this is happening trillian remains connected even when he has no web access.Its not his isp. I've tried countless methods. hes using a linksys router..He cant access his routers config either..I'm completely taken back. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have a similar issue however it's only affecting my linksys router. I cannot access it via it's default ip addy. I pinged the ip and it appears to connect but, when actually typing it in my browers, IE and Firefox it spins then times out.

    ps. So far linksys has been of no help!

    goto DOS (START>RUN>enter "cmd" [ok];
    when the internet is accessible
    - enter "ipconfig/all > c:\ipcfg.txt" (note 1 arrow)
    when the internet is no longer accessible
    - enter "ipconfig/all >> c:\ipcfg.txt" (note 2 arrows)

    Using your wordpad or notepad, view c:\ipcfg.txt to Compare (or post) your results - especially, ip address, default gateway, dhcp & dns server addresses.
