Once i awhile when I try to get onto the internet I receive a blank page in my browser, I have to restart the browser at least 3 times and it seems to work.Sometimes restarting the browser doesn't resolve the issue and I end up having to reboot my pc.

    Any suggestions?

I would recommend that you read this thread and follow the steps. Worst case scenario is that it can't hurt.

If that doesn't work, please return and post more info...what type of internet connection do you use, what hardware are you using, what browser, what operating system, etc, etc, etc...no such thing as too much info.

I've read the sticky note u told me too,and I follow those steps about once a week to make sure I'm clean from any malware infestations, I don't think thats the problem here.
I'm running the latest Firefox browser connected through a LAN using a D-link router and motorolla cable modem(not sure what exact models if you need that info just ask)I have win xp home sp2 and use zone alarm free as my firewall.I just bought this computer and I doubt that it has a virus or spyware.I use a combination of antivirus/spyware scanners.AVG/a2/Microsoft antispyware/adware/spybot s&D.Also run HJT once a week and check the log file.

If you need more info let me know, i would really like to resolve this issue,Thanks.

Is your connection wired or wireless?

There are many things that could be causing this issue, and you need to narrow them down.

First and foremost, when you cannot display a website, do not reboot. Do this first:

    Go to Start --> Run
    Type cmd and press enter
Type "ping google.com" (without the quotes) in the black DOS window. What do you see?
Type "ping 4.2.2.2" (without the quotes) in the black DOS window. What do you see?

Power cycle your modem and router. This entails unplugging the power from both your modem and router. Plug them in in this order:
    1) Modem
    2) Router, but ONLY after the modem says it's "online"
    3) Wait 1 minute
    4) Try to get a webpage up

What is the model of the Motorolla modem and D-Link router?

Hey bubbles thx for your input. It's a wired connection.
And I pinged googl with these results:

I also power cycled the modem and I'm still having the same problem. The web page comes up after restarting the browser twice.

By your ping responses, it's likely not the router or the modem. Just for a kick try it directly to the modem and see what happens.

Do all of the computers on your network experience the same issue?
Try a different cable between your PC and the router.
Try a different port on the router
Try a different browser, such as Opera, but do not import settings from IE or Mozilla.

I'm sure I'll think of more things later.
