Connection problem

    I have used this site to fix many problems. This is my first post as I cannot find an answer. Just bought my daughter a computer. It connects to the wireless internet fine but anytime you click on another link to open a new page you have to physically disconnect network and then reconnect to network before it will open the linked page. It is so aggravating! Help...PLEASE!!

    Hi

    What Windows version and Service Pack are you using on this PC?
    What is the router make and model?
    What security applications do you have installed? please name all.


    If you boot into Safe Mode (F8 at boot) and choose Safe Mode with Networking is the internet ok and the links open ok?

    Do you get any error messages in the browser when you try a link and if so what is the error message in full?

    Could try disabling the security apps and see if that helps but the questions above may help narrow this down.
