connection tray freezes on xp

This issue happens to me randomly......
sometimes my internet wireless connection stops working, and the connections tray icon does not respond at all, i double click on it and nothing happens, the right click does the same thing....nothing.
I re installed the card drivers but the problem is still there, i checked for virus with norton internet security 2006, and my system was clean, i also ran the winsock xp fix but it didn't solve the problem,

please help
