I found this thread and thought i was saved: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=765316

But my misstake, the problem is still a fact. I have the same sympthoms.

While computer idle, when using internet for a longer time or trying to transfere alot of files through the network (100mbit) the connection goes down.

And while trying to reboot Windows reports that 'Connections Tray' has failed. After that i have to use the reset button.

Im starting to think its a hardware problem, but i might not be sure. I will try to install the D-link wireless network card and try that. If problem still occurs i dont have a clue what to do.

I started this comp up last night. Been out of service due to a Asus mainboard that failed. (No USB and the built in sound died)

Changed the mainboard, and also the power supply cause i previous had problems with the computer just shutting down.

    This is the setup basicly:

    AMD Athlon x2
    Asus M3A-H mainboard
    4G Kingston ram
620w power supply (got it today, was 460w before)
    2x WesternDigital Sata 500gb
    Geforce 8600GTS
NetGear WG311v3 wireless network card (never liked it, been trouble since the start)

Saitek keyboard and a Razer copperhead mouse (relevant? lol)

Im running Windows XP SP2 and as we speak im trying to update it. It was on the disk that was in the mainboard crash so i have not given the OS any attention really.

I know this is the software section, but i just wanted to give you an idea and i still hope its only a software problem, since the hardware is basicly NEW and never been trouble before. Except for that mainboad.

I think i have solved the problem. Switched the netadapter to the D-link and it have not yet crashed even though im downloading as a crazy and putting as much load on the rest of the computer as i can.

    Well, what can you say.

    Regards.
