Connets to Network, but can't go on internet

hello guys, please help me out. i have a laptop and a desktop, and i can connect to the network with both. however, with the desktop, using a linksys wireless adaptor, i can only connect to the network, for some reason the internet does not work. however, with my laptop, it can connect to the network fine, any ideas why? i have installed the latest drivers for the wireless adaptor already...

 

Since you mention linksys wireless adaptor, i assume you're using a wireless router as well. Is your username (given by your isp) and ssid is set similar for both router configuration page and the wireless utility as well. BTW, did you enable any wep or wpa?

 

yes the ssid is set similar for the router and the wireless utility, and i do not have wep or wpa enabled either..do you know what's wrong?

 

If you're using xp, go to start>run and type ipconfig /all and post the ip, subnetmask, dns and lease of ip etc.
