Ok, I've been firmly in the AMD camp since K6-2 450 Days. I've owned a couple of P3 and a P4 Northwood along the way, but all custom builds I've ever done for myself have been with AMD Chips, and I've largely ignored Intel... Until now.

I'd like to build something based on the Conroe E6300 but I have absolutely no idea how Intel's FSB1066 is calculated and what type of memory I'd need. Is it a (quad pumped) 266 FSB? In which case, I'd need DDR2-667memory, which i think runs at 333 FSB. Am I right with this, or have I completely missed this.

I've tried to find this out by myself if I can get some DDR2-1066 but all I can find is DDR2-800, and nothing faster.

A very confused (and a little out of the loop) gamer.
