Constant inbound data

I have tried all of the fixes you listed. When I am logged on the internet. 56k modem, With my browsers shut dow, I get a constant feed of inbound data. I can see it on my dial up monitor. This almost competly stops me from viewing web pages. I have norton av and internet security,spysweeper,windows cleaner and all of the items you listed. nohing comes up when I scan. I also keep getting attacked by an unknown source (65.54.98.125,35701) the last number (35701) changes all the time. Can you help??? I also ran Hijack this and my file looks clean. I used my norton internet security, In the statistics view there are alot of svchosts running. The on that is letting all of the data in I shut down but it automaticlly starts agian.

 

the IP address of 65.54.98.125 is an IP that points to Microsoft. More specifically

webaccel.msn.com.

 

Sometimes virus scanners don't all find the same virui. You might be interested in running some online virus scanners such as www.housecall.antivirus.com Also something Kodo wrote made me think! Could your machine be downloading the latest patches from Microsoft?

 

I have all of the auto update features turned off. I deleted the web accel and my msn 9.0 went back to 6 thought that might be the problem. That would explain the warning from norton. But the inbound data stumps me.

 

as long as you're connected to the net, you will always get inbound data.
