construction tender software

hello all,
I am working for child company that may take a tender from the mother compnay for costruct some buildings so as IT specilist what should we mention in our documents regard answering such questions "what software should we have?"

As my first line of thinking I can mention OS deployed with us as tenderer but what also? architectural app? Can any one help plz?

 

Well the answer depends upon what you are tendering for.

If your tender is to build someone else's design then you obviously do not need design software.

If you are looking at a 'turnpike' or 'design and build' type contract then you will need design software.

Whatever standard form of contract is employed you will need measurement/costing software that is compatible with the form of contract.

If the contract has any size, contract or project management software will probably be required.

You might also like to consider data security - how you will guarantee the security of your Client's data and what will happen to the contract records after completion.

In all these a good idea would be to ensure that whatever you offer is compatible with the Client's own software - ask them. This is especially true if they expect you to receive electronic rather than paaper contract documents, drawings etc.

Thank you Mr. studiot for a clarifications . the tender is for building a building of two flats but you know how much stuff oil companies needs for such this project and that why am asking in this blessed forum.
Now I get edge of the line and I will go through design software and project management software.
but Did you think that mentioning such this :

OS : win xp.
anti-virus : Kaspersky .
documents and sheets : MS Office 2007
.......etc

is perfect or not?
