I'm having trouble connecting my desktop to a router through a wireless network adapter. It will recognize the network but will continuously read "acquiring network address". Hard-wiring directly to the router works. Should I try re-installing the network adapter? I've tried to google some info and it seems to be a common problem, but I don't think there is one specific fix for it.

  2. What router is it?

can you get into the router using the default gateway IP?

Once a few questions are answered I'm sure we can trouble shoot and fix this problem :)
