continuously bumped on earthlink

    using dial-up with earthlink. get bumped off every minute or so during peak periods. all modem and connection settings have been tweaked, does no good. is there any ping softwear out there that works?

    you can use the DOS ping utility that works as good as anything... its most probably just a bad connection to the server, i used to get that with BT. If the server is overcroweded then it'll probably drop connections and generally play up so nothing too bad.

    BTW to use the ping utility, go run, command (or cmd) then type ping /? for info on commands
