controling programs with vbs

I'm a staples easy tech and I'm trying to make our "pc-tuneups easier" of course corporate doesn't want to help me so i was wondering if any of you would like to

basically i need to be able to run a program check appropriate check boxes click next wait for it to be done and go on to the next program etc.

i know a little bit about visual basic but not that much

i need to know how to
execute an external program
retrieve process status codes
control an external program
how to copy and delete directories(to move the programs to the root of the hard drive on whichever computer I'm working on, because we only have one external hard drive and need to run this on multiple computers at the same time)
