So here is what I have, A nice new computer system running Windows XP Pro with every update available. I need to continue to run MS works 2.0 to access very old files but I work on Office Pro 2003. I've installed the converter to read the files but they come up without any formatting and are mostly jibberish basically un useable. I installed MS works 2 on the machine and WKS files open perfectly, however WPS files do not.

I've done this trick before on another Laptop running XP and it opens them fine. Any thoughts? I've associated the files with ms works and when it opens it opens Works but stays as a blank page. The copy of MS works checks out alright as I installed it on another system and that worked fine.
Converting the files online will not work because there are hundreds of them.
