Convert Avi To Mov

It seems Facebook will no longer accept my AVI files. Is there a way to convert them to MOV?

BTW, the AVI files are from a trail camera. I think this makes a difference. I have a couple of movie editing software packages and they do weird things. Openshot video editor won't open them at all. Pinnacle 14 has apparently quit running after trying to open one. I tried a program called Prism, which is just for converting video files, and it won't open them either. Yet they run on my computer using VLC or Windows Media Player (more reliably with VLC).

 

working with video files has always seemed like black magic to me. the whole process is just baffling.
