    Is the subject possible?
I like my WinDates calendar program but the company is out of biz & provides no support. Before I scratched my old computer I did a export of the events file. The result was a .wdb Microsoft Works file. After reloading the program on new computer, I tried to do an import but it will only accept the following files: .ics file (iCalendar file); .wdt (Windates events file; .vcs (V Calendar file); or a text file.

    Your advice would be welcome.

Do you have a copy of Works? If so, you have to install it, open the .wdb file then export and choose another file format.
The only converter I was able to find, was an expensive one and only converts to xls http://www.rl-software.com/converter/wks-wdb-to-excel.htm
they will do one wdb file free (see the info in the right column) but since this isn't one of the three file types you need, I suspect it won't help you.

OpenOffice is a free, Open Source alternative to MS Office with a Word compatible word processor, a complete Excel compatible spread sheet program
and a Power Point like presentation software and drawing program and also allows to save to PDF file

    Dear Plodr & Baklogic,

Sorry for the delay in responding. Sidetracked too many times.

As it turns out, my wife has MS Works on her computer. But when I tried to import the .wdb I rcvd the message that there was an error in the formatting and import failed. (Needed to use the works data base program and not the calendar prog.

So I scratched it up to a lost cause. Have now discovered the Google Calendar program which is very close to what I had. I would recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for your advice. :)

    George
