Converting M4b files to MP3

    Hi,
    I downloaded 2 audio files that were in M4b format.
    I used Switch Sound File Converter to convert them to Mp3, which was ok, but when I tried to play the files the audio sounds like like it was speeded up.
    Does anyone know what might have happened. I have converted the files again but with the same result.

    We don;t have anything here, sorry. What happened is your program might be actually playing the song and re-recording it on the fly. It's possible there are settings to address the speed problem but not really familiar with M4b.

    Thanks for the reply.
    Chatting with my son on Skype last night he suggested replacing the Mb4 extension with .m4a.
    The files now play normally on my laptop and hopefully on my Kindle, and do not need converting.
